Raine Higa is an AEA-eligible actor, starring as “Charlie“ in Willy Wonka and “Jojo“ In Seussical with Sunrise Theatre Company, and “Logan” in Pickle-Pong with Sabertooth Motion Pictures.
Raine has been featured as a “Born To Kill Gangster” in Sally Tran’s upcoming documentary, Still A Go Between.
Raine enjoys acting in new works such as: “Joe” in Cascadia @ Astoria Food Pantry, “Raine” in A Fun Play About How Scary Climate Change Is for the Climate Arts Festival @ Queens Botanical Garden, and “Yu” in Shirime for Sophia Metcalf’s Kiss Your Darlings.
Raine writes, produces, and acts in his own plays: “Yuki” in I Live For Cap-It-All and “Yu” in Shirime, where he draws upon his mixed Asian-American, and QTPOC experiences, with a half-Korean half-white mom, and half-Japanese, half-Okinawan dad and growing up in Hawaii.
Raine is an active member of Slaysian’s, NYC’s first all Queer and Asian comedy group, where he does improv and writes sketch comedy. Raine has also performed in A Sketch of New York.
